The tagging is seriously clunking - it was one area which I completely changed on my first practice Rails app (a Neil C’s ideal version of Prologue, nicknamed Twit Chat).

Have you seen Quotably, the new twitter response handling tool? It’s awesome, but it makes you realise how focused the twitter guys are on their existing interactions on the service. Any changes have to be carefully considered.

I read that Arrington article just after it was posted - he makes those type of posts every so often, and they’re always topical and blasted with responses. TBH, I’d be happy with Seattle or SV; Stratford-Upon-Avon is great for my concentration, but it’s bad for real-world collaboration!

@Everyone - Thursday 7pm CET looks fine for me. Time converter says it’s 9pm GMT, so I’ll make sure I’m high on a venti-sized caffeine-filled beverage, and ready to throw some serious shapes down.

p.s. did some good hacking this weekend. Fixed a few issues with activerecord associations breaking when using acts_as_commentable….ruby is great!

“When you and everyone you know spend 18 hours a day downloading, hacking, breaking, sharing, gossiping, criticizing and arguing about the Web, it’s easier to tell when an idea is truly new. And if you don’t, it’s almost impossible to catch up.”
